Damon wastes £1m in a blur

IT DOESN’T always pay to keep up with the Joneses – just ask Damon Albarn. The Blur singer, left, says FOMO (fear of missing out) made him copy the neighbours and splash an estimated £1million on a basement extension at his £6million Notting Hill home – yet he’s barely set foot in it. ‘Everybody else was doing it and I thought, “Well, if I don’t, then the value of the house…”’ he says. ‘But I don’t use it. They dig your house out and put it on stilts. Why did I do it? What an idiot.’
