I’m so sorry, says Vaughan
FORMER England cricket captain Michael Vaughan apologised yesterday to ex-bowler Azeem Rafiq for the hurt he suffered at Yorkshire Cricket Club – but continued to deny making a racist comment.
Vaughan, 47, said he heard things in dressing rooms that ‘are not acceptable now’, and admitted he was embarrassed by some of his social media posts.
But asked yesterday in a BBC interview whether he had made racist comments at Yorkshire, he said: ‘No, I didn’t. No.’
