Cannabis is an enemy
Following the recent terror attack in Liverpool, I read with interest the comments by Peter Hitchens last week about cannabis being the issue, not terrorism, and totally agree with him.
If this drug were regulated, the heavy weight it places on mental health resources could be reduced. When you think of the possible damage to life and property cannabis can do, I feel that it should be controlled before any further harm can happen.
J. Wilbraham, Chester
Suggesting that the Liverpool bomber could be a mentally ill cannabis-user is reckless. Mr Hitchens may be a campaigner on this issue, but he shouldn’t confuse a dope-user with someone who despised this country.
P. Squirrell, Liverpool
