BBC feud piles on more pain for the Queen

I completely stand by Queen, who has united with Prince Charles and Prince William in threatening to boycott the BBC over the documentary The Princes And The Press, which alleges vicious briefing wars between members of the Royal Family.

The Queen has already had enough to deal with this year after losing her husband. She really doesn’t need this on her plate, too.

Noah Anderson, Portsmouth

Our loyal Queen has spent her whole life serving this country and never put a foot wrong. Now, in her final years, she has been subjected to some of the worst family crises there could be.

I hope those at the BBC behind this documentary are thoroughly ashamed of themselves.

N. Miller, Chester

Why are members of the Royal Family threatening to boycott the BBC? The BBC doesn’t have to answer to them, and the public deserve the truth – not a watered-down Royal version.

If the Royals want their own propaganda machine, they should fund it themselves and not use the publicly funded BBC.

Gavin Campbell, Cheltenham

Amol Rajan, the presenter of this documentary, has clearly missed the first rule of journalism – it’s about the story and not the journalist. He boasts that he’s republican, so how can he possibly be considered impartial?

The best journalists give no clue to their own political or personal views on the issues they report on. For this reason, Rajan is the wrong man for the job.

Henry Newman, Newcastle upon Tyne

It’s obvious to everyone that Princes William and Harry do not get along. So what is the big secret the BBC needs to tell us about this feud?

Michael Thomas, Middlesbrough

Even if Prince Harry has been briefing against Prince William, it’s William, as the older brother, who should look after Harry. Their late mother wouldn’t have wanted to see them fighting like this so they should swallow their pride and rekindle their friendship.

G. Allen, London

We should all come together in solidarity with the Royal Family and boycott the BBC. It refuses to accept its woke agenda is out of step with most viewers. It’s time to dismantle this overpaid, self-important bunch and replace it with a competitive subscription service.

Paul Kay, Chesham

How can the Royals refuse to co-operate with the publicly funded BBC? Their sense of entitlement is as if they had earned their fortune. We should refuse to keep maintaining them.

O. Eastwood, Padstow, Cornwall
