A 78-YEAR-OLD
museum robber has been jailed for a day in the US. Thomas Gavin was caught when he tried to sell an antique rifle he’d stolen 40 years ago.
Questioned by the FBI, wheelchair-bound Mr Gavin admitted dozens of museum thefts across Pennsylvania in the 1960s and 70s. Mr Gavin also faces a year of house arrest, which is one way to stop a serial thief, even if they’re a bit out of practice.
