The actor (right) is sitting in for Mark Radcliffe, and is taking the opportunity to dig through his own record collection for some of his favourite folk and roots tracks from across the decades.

Radio 3 In Concert (Radio 3, 7.30pm) comes from City Halls in Glasgow and finds Thomas Dausgaard conducting the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra in Bartók’s The Wooden Prince.

Victoria Coren Mitchell is challenging established ideas and received wisdom in a new series of Heresy (Radio 4, 6.30pm). She’s joined by comedians Desiree Burch and David Baddiel, as well as artist Grayson Perry.
