Grayson’s Art Club: Queen’s Jubilee Special

‘Making art about our monarch, whatever it can tell us about her, can tell us some revealing things about ourselves too,’ declares Grayson Perry. The potter and artist is joined by his therapist wife Philippa (right with Grayson) for this special Platinum Jubilee edition of Art Club, in which members of the public have been invited to submit their works for the occasion and a national exhibition.

Among those also presenting their creations are comedian Harry Hill and Bake Off’s Prue Leith. And talking of baking, look out for Perry’s own cake, complete with a remarkably uncanny likeness of the Queen in icing on top.

The over-riding feeling, though, is of the love and affection for Her Majesty held by the amateur artists, from whatever walks of life they come. ★★★★★
