REASONABLE DOUBT DISNEY+ DRAMA

New legal drama starring Emayatzy Corinealdi as Jax Stewart, an unorthodox lawyer who will do whatever it takes to get her clients off the hook – even if it means bending the rules so far that they may break. Victor Rasuk also appears as Mike Llanas,

Jax’s law-school buddyturned-rival. From Tuesday

JUNGLE AMAZON URBAN DRAMA

Listen out for music from Tinie Tempah, Big Narstie and many more on the pulsating soundtrack. From Friday

THE GREATEST BEER RUN EVER APPLE TV+ COMEDY FILM

Based on a true story, director Peter Farrelly’s action-comedy stars Zac Efron as an ex-US marine who, in 1967, receives a challenge: to journey to Vietnam to deliver some cheer in the form of messages and beer to his friends serving on the front line. Russell Crowe and Bill Murray also appear. From Friday

HOCUS POCUS 2 DISNEY+ MOVIE

It’s been a long time coming, but at last here’s the sequel to the much-loved 1993 comedy. Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy return as the Sanderson sisters, who are about to wreak havoc in modern-day Salem – unless a trio of highschool students can stop them. From Friday

THE REAL MCCOY BRITBOX COMEDY

Designed to show off the skills of double act Curtis Walker and Ishmael Thomas, this sketch series ran from 1991 to 1996. But it’s the supporting and guest stars that make it appealing now – the likes of Meera Syal, Kulvinder Ghir and Kathy Burke all pop up. From Thursday

AMAZING GRACE iPLAYER DOCUMENTARY

Compelling documentary charting the recording of Aretha Franklin’s (right) 1972 gospel album of the same name. It took 46 years for the footage to see the light of day, following a variety of technical and legal issues, but it was worth the wait. The resulting film offers remarkable insights into Franklin’s skills as a creative force. From Monday

CARNIVALE SKY DRAMA

Stylish, compelling supernatural drama with a touch of the surreal. It revolves around a strange travelling carnival in the Depression-era Oklahoma Dust Bowl. A farmer with healing powers (Nick Stahl) joins the fair. Meanwhile, a charismatic preacher (Clancy Brown) seems to have similar abilities. Also featuring Michael J. Anderson (right). Available now

VERSAILLES BRITBOX DRAMA

George Blagden stars as Louis XIV, the King of France, who is determined to build the palace of Versailles. From Saturday

THE MIGHTY DUCKS: GAME CHANGER DISNEY+ COMEDY

RAB C. NESBITT BRITBOX COMEDY

Classic Scottish sitcom following the world of Rab, a string-vest-clad, alcoholic, work-shy Glaswegian. Made between 1988 and 1999, the sitcom starred Gregor Fisher (above), but look out for some great guest appearances too, including early roles for David Tennant and Ashley Jensen. Sadly, not every episode is being made available – the two later series, made in 2010 and 2011, are missing – but the first eight series are heading subscribers’ way. From Thursday

ENTERGALACTIC NETFLIX ANIMATION

US musician and actor Kid Cudi is the driving force behind this adult animation. The plot follows Jabari, who wonders if there’s room for love in his life as his artistic career begins to take off. Among the vocal cast are

Timothée Chalamet, Jaden Smith and Macaulay Culkin. From Friday

LIFE AFTER LIFE iPLAYER FANTASY

Four-part adaptation of Kate Atkinson’s novel. Ursula Todd is born one night in 1910, but dies before she draws her first breath, strangled by the umbilical cord. Then she is born again and this time survives because there is a doctor present. A few years later she drowns, and the same thing happens again. Ursula keeps being born into a new iteration of life and begins to get some sense of what is happening. Available now

THE EMPRESS NETFLIX DRAMA

A handsome-looking historical drama that is a Netflix original. When Elisabeth (Devrim Lingnau) falls for Austrian Emperor Franz Joseph and becomes his unlikely bride, she enters a world of intrigue at the Habsburg court where she has to deal with her mother-inlaw and with Franz’s brother Maxi who wants the throne for himself. OK, so 19th Century aristocrats didn’t say things like ‘Everyone wants a piece of you’, but there’s still a lot to enjoy here. Also features Elisa Schlott (left). From Thursday
