not be Palace etiquette to talk about money, but I have to report that King Charles has made more than £1million by selling 18 of his late mother’s brood mares at auction. There has been speculation that the Royal Stud at Sandringham, where racehorses are bred, might become something of a museum as Charles does not share his mother’s passion for breeding racehorses. So much for the sport of kings!
