Gambling with lives

The article last week by James Grimes about gambling sponsorship in football normalising harm didn’t surprise me. I worked for 47 years in the betting industry and heard stories of suicides, lost businesses and split families, all through an addiction to gambling. It is a sad fact of life in this world that money is way more important than the value of human life.
