STEPHENSON STRIKES TO BOOST ACCIES’ SURVIVAL BID
HAMILTON ACCIES made it back-to-back league wins as new loan arrival Dylan Stephenson scored the only goal of the game as Accies won 1-0 at Partick Thistle.
The 20-year-old only joined Accies from Newcastle on Thursday and was thrown straight in against the Jags, who remain seven points off table-topping Queen’s Park.
The only bad news for John Rankin’s side is that Arbroath also picked up three points with a 2-1 win away to Morton.
George Oakley had given the hosts a fourth-minute lead but goals from Colin Hamilton and Michael McKenna moved Dick Campbell’s men to within a point of Cove Rangers, who lost 5-0 on Friday night to Ayr.
Billy Mckay’s late strike earned Inverness Caley Thistle a point at Raith Rovers with a 2-2 draw. Lewis Vaughan put Raith ahead before Jay Henderson levelled. The hosts went in front again through Aidan Connolly before Mckay struck.
