Nicholas Shott, a nonexecutive director at Phoenix, bought 107,427 shares in the insurer at £6.02 each on Monday. A day later, chief risk officer Jonathan Pears exercised nil-cost options on 10,778 shares and sold about half of them in a deal worth £30,231 to cover tax liabilities.
