Blackmail, bondage, sleaze, Old Etonians, etc. Should we trust sometime political insider Watson when she says none of her characters is based on real people? Probably not. But she is a sprightly storyteller and, if West minster watchers want some light reading for the beach, they need look no further. There is even a nice subplot highlighting the good of which politicians are sometimes capable.
