SNP vote chaos as rivals clash
THE battle to become Scotland’s next First Minister was mired in chaos last night amid rows over coalition pacts and vote changes.
On the final full day of voting, rival candidates Kate Forbes and Humza Yousaf were at loggerheads over whether the party should continue a powersharing agreement with the Scottish Greens.
Ms Forbes said she ‘had no fear’ over running a minority government without them.
But Mr Yousaf labelled the stance ‘foolish’.
Meanwhile concerns continued over the validity of the voting process itself. One SNP MP demanded the race be extended to allow members to change their votes. The ballot is set to close at noon tomorrow.
