The art of the bargain
SHE may have been rubbing shoulders with the art world’s cognoscenti at a swanky exhibition launch last week, but The One Show’s Alex Jones has more down-to-earth tastes.
At the Grove Gallery in Fitzrovia, where pieces were going for over £10,000 a pop, Alex told me her favourite piece at home was picked up from a Parisian flea market – for just £3.20. ‘I just love it and no one knows it’s that price,’ said Alex, left, at Zara Muse’s Radiant Resilience show. ‘It’s just about having the confidence to know what you like.’
