Czech out Helena!

HELENA BONHAM CARTER agreed to star in James Hawes’s new World War II film One Life partly because it was set in Hampstead, near her home in North London.

But then she learned that most of the film was to be shot in the Czech Republic. ‘James came along and said, “You’re born to play this — and, it’s up the road”,’ she says at a West End screening.

‘“Very convenient,” I thought. In fact, we ended up filming in Prague. We did do one day in Hampstead.’
