OZONE jabs may help with lower back pain, according to a study by the University Clinical Centre of Serbia.

Researchers gave 321 patients ozone injections into the spine, steroid jabs — or a combination of both. The results, published in November in the journal Diagnostics, showed that both steroids and ozone injections alone reduced pain within the first 30 days, but the greatest benefit was from the combined treatment — which provided ‘significant’ pain relief for up to two years with no major side-effects. Ozone is thought to slow the release of chemicals that cause inflammation.
