WATERY WORLD

Secrets Of The Aquarium, 8pm, BBC2

WHERE there’s water, there’s rust, and tonight we follow repair work on the boat that is submerged in the Atlantic Ocean tank. There’s a hole in the boat that Friday the turtle could get through, and no one wants the star attraction to get trapped inside — turtles breathe air, so if he can’t get out in time, our flippered friend could drown. We also meet 86-year-old volunteer and ‘eagle ray whisperer’ Jill (pictured), who taught volunteer co-ordinator Jenny everything she knows, and get an update on recently rescued turtle Heidi, who is missing a flipper and is having trouble diving. It might be relaxing watching life in the aquarium, but for the staff, the work and worry never seem to stop.
