Food for thought

A REPORT by the Centre for Economic Performance at the London School of Economics claims the 6 per cent increase in food prices is due to extra border checks and other red tape following Brexit.

My daughter complains of food inflation, too: 18.7 per cent year on year. This figure comes from the Federal Statistical Office — in Germany. Why would their food costs be higher than here, when we both have record inflation?

The U.S. is also recording soaring costs, with prices, including food, increasing by 13 per cent.
