Another fine mess
CAN there be any doubt that Angus Robertson’s mess-up of the census was caused by any other reason than the wish to be different from the rest of the UK?
Instead of benefiting from a UKwide publicity drive and consequently very high completion figures, Scotland was humiliated by an abysmal turnout – and we had to spend another £800,000 of our taxes in trying to publicise the separate census.
This, along with the millions spent on referendum put-by cash, ‘pretend embassies’, the ferries fiasco and much else, makes clearer the sheer brass neck of the SNP administration in bleating for more cash from Westminster to fight the cost of living crisis.
