ALEX COCHRANE (right) will be banned from Hearts’ opening three matches in the Premiership next season following his Edinburgh derby red card. The defender was sent off for hauling down Chris Cadden in the first-half of Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Hibernian and denying a goalscoring opportunity.

CAPTAIN Ryan Edwards will leave Dundee United under freedom of contract along with Liam Smith, Ian Harkes and Peter Pawlett. Jamie McGrath and Loick Ayina will return to their parent clubs Wigan Athletic and Huddersfield.
