United stars question Erik

SIR JIM RATCLIFFE’S £1.25billion investment in Manchester United is finally set to go through next week at a critical point in the season for manager Erik ten Hag, with a number of players said to be questioning the manager’s approach and tactics.
The British billionaire is purchasing a quarter of the club from the Glazer family and will pump an additional £245m into United to upgrade Old Trafford and the training ground.
His arrival comes at a crucial moment for Ten Hag, who finds himself under renewed scrutiny following Saturday’s abject performance when losing 1-0 at Newcastle. The 53-year-old Dutchman desperately needs United to bounce back in home games against Chelsea tomorrow and Bournemouth on
Saturday, amid growing unrest in the camp. Some players believe they have been made to train too hard this season while others feel the manager is too authoritarian. Raphael Varane was again left on the bench at St James’ Park following his falling out with Ten Hag, who clashed with Anthony Martial when the striker was substituted.
