AMAZON FREEVEE ACTION FANTASY

‘Even things that go bump in the night need protection,’ ran the original tagline for this fantasy-sci-fi show that began as an internet mini-series and then became a TV series in 2008. Dr Helen Magnus and her team of experts run the Sanctuary, an organisation that seeks out powerful ‘Abnormals’ – or ‘monsters’ to the rest of us – and tries to learn from them while also having to contain the more dangerous ones. It’s imaginative and entertaining but its limited budget is all too obvious.
